Robert Peterson, M.D.
Born in Los Angeles, CA. 1952. Home town-San Marino, CA. Graduated San Marino High School 1970. BS in Animal Physiology at U.C. Davis 1974. MS in Physiology at USC 1977. USC Medical School 1976-1980. Residency in Family Practice at San Joaquin General Hospital/U.C. Davis 1980-1983. I started practice in Santa Maria, CA with the predecessor of the Samsum Santa Barbara Medical Clinic in 1983. I was the medical director of that branch clinic until 1989 when I moved to Temecula, CA. I started Murrieta Family Medicine in 1990. I am married to Kathy and have six wonderful children: Carolyn, Katie, Travis, Sandy- (Robert), Kellyanne, and Russ. I enjoy golf, horseback riding, travel, genealogy, and sport car driving. My practice philosophy is to provide treatment of common illness uncommonly well. I want to educate my patients to help maintain their health and make them partners with me in doing so!
